Healthy Whole Wheat Pasta Salads

It’s September – that means whole grains are a Foods of the Month! Pasta salads are excellent options for dinner or lunch. They make great leftovers because they can be transported easily and eaten cold. Be sure to load up your whole wheat pasta salads with lean meats and fresh veggies for the most vitamins and minerals. This will keep you fuller too!

Whole Grain Pasta Salad with Spinach – Whole grains, spinach, basil, red pepper, feta, pine nuts and more! We made this recipe several years ago and love it so much we want to share it again. Check out the instructions for this healthy pasta salad by clicking here.

Caprese Pasta Salad – Cook whole wheat macaroni according to directions. Drain the noodles and toss with basil pesto, halved cherry tomatoes and cubes of fresh mozzarella cheese. Let it chill for one hour in the refrigerator and enjoy!

Greek Pasta Salad – This recipe is an OrganWise Guys original! To make this healthy dish, cook whole wheat spiral pasta according to directions. After it has drained and cooled, combine pasta with chicken sausage, chopped spinach, feta cheese, olives and roasted red peppers. Drizzle with olive oil and mix all ingredients. Chill for one hour and serve.
