Great job to Mazie Deonka and staff at Youth for Christ Ministries in Hazlehurst, Mississippi! Thanks to funding from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Youth for Christ Ministries applied for and received a Healthy Incentive Project (HIP) grant of OrganWise Guys materials. These HIP grants are part of the larger Thriving Communities, Thriving Children (TC2) project taking place in Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ms. Deonka and her staff use the OWG doll and other OWG materials to help present the importance of bringing health awareness to local children and to help reduce childhood obesity.
