Hey!
So we all know that regular exercise, along with proper nutrition, is super important for keeping our bodies healthy. Typically people only think of our muscles when we talk about exercise, but teaching bone health to kids is vital, too! Exercising is not only good for our muscles, but also great for our bones! So make sure and teach your kids that exercise is good all the way around!

P.S. Make sure and check out some of my personal favorite bone health resources. I may be a little biased, but I think the gal teaching about bone health is a lot of fun!

Hello!
There are many situations that arise with kids requiring a little bit of explaining or clarification. Sometimes things that may seem crystal clear to one person (this includes adults, too!), is not always as obvious to another. Whether a small ordeal, similar to what I got myself into this weekend, or a huge life-changing decision, it’s a good idea to teach your kids to ask questions about any uncertainties they may have. Now, make sure and share this funny story and the coinciding coloring and activity sheets with your kids. It will be a good lesson for them to learn about inquiring further to get the right information! My mouth sure would have thanked me if I had followed my own advice!

Hey team,
In math, we’ve been learning about making change when someone pays for something. It seems so simple, four quarters in a dollar, what more do you need to know? Turns out, a lot more. The nickels, dimes, and pennies, well, the possibilities are practically endless! This is why I’ve been having my mom quiz me with change-related math problems when we drive places. It’s an educational way to pass the time in the car without staring at a phone, and it’s time spent with your mom while learning. I’m just happy she doesn’t charge me for the time, because counting out the money could get a little confusing for me! It’s okay to take a little break from math to download the coloring sheet and activity sheet for today.

Hey team,
Low-fat dairy is one of the Foods of the Month for February. You know I just love these foods, as dairy is full of calcium, and bones love calcium! Since this weekend is Valentine’s Day, I’ll be celebrating with low-fat dairy by making the people I love most, my parents, some low-fat chocolate milk for dessert. Don’t worry, I’ll make myself a glass as well. Oh and one more thing, don’t forget to download your coloring sheet and activity sheet for today.

Hey team,
Calci here with a friendly reminder to eat January’s Foods of the Month: cruciferous vegetables and legumes. Those are just fancy words for broccoli, cauliflower, and beans. But don’t think that you should only eat these foods in January. You should be eating these foods all year round! Try to eat all the different foods of the month every month. These Foods of the Month are all OrganWise-approved to keep you healthy winter, spring, summer and fall! Make sure and get your coloring sheet for today!
