Dear Me

Hi guys and girls,

My favorite assignment this year is from this past week. As we finish another school year, our teacher told us to write a letter to ourselves to open when we graduate. That means, when we finish high school, we’ll be getting letters we wrote to ourselves from elementary school. What a great idea! It really got me thinking about what I wanted to tell future-Peter. I told him, er, me, that I hoped he worked hard and was able to go a college he liked. Also, I hoped he’d continue to follow The OrganWise Guys rules, too since health is so important! Lastly, I hoped that he tried out for the basketball team and continued to do volunteer work. What would you include in a letter to your future self? Make sure and get your coloring sheet and activity sheet for today!OWG_Blog_Art_5-22-14

GREEN GREEN GREEN

Hi guys and girls,

Hope you all wore your green today, as today is St. Patrick’s Day! The cafeteria is serving a special “green” menu, which includes lots of green fruits and veggies: spinach, peas, green beans, pears, and granny smith apples. Our principal even dressed as a leprechaun for the day! So funny! Have fun, and hopefully you find a pot o’ gold! To color your own leprechaun, download the coloring sheet for today!

Groundhog's Day

OWG_Blog_Art_1-30-14

Hi guys and girls,

This Sunday is Groundhog’s Day which is an annual tradition where a groundhog comes out from his burrow, and if he sees his shadow, it means there will be six more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t, then spring will come sooner. How accurate this groundhog is at predicting the weather is up for debate, but if we’re choosing, I’d hope that he doesn’t see his shadow so spring can come sooner! I love to get outside and play without having to bundle up so much!

The groundhog has taken over the coloring sheet and activity sheet for today!

Staying Healthy this Halloween

Hi guys and girls!

I know Halloween is just around the corner, and that means a lot of candy will be around. It’s important to remember that just because it’s in front of you, it doesn’t mean you have to eat it constantly. It’s important to limit yourself, as too much candy can leave you feeling less than your best. So think twice before you go back for that second piece of candy! Don’t “leaf” without getting your coloring sheet!

Labor Day

Hi guys and girls!

We all know that Labor Day is a day off from school, but it really is a day to take a break from working hard, for kids and adults alike. We all should enjoy this free day, but also be sure to help your parents out more than usual around the house today. After all, Labor Day is supposed to be about relaxing and enjoying a day of no work. If you help out around the house, your parents may get to relax a little bit sooner. They’ll surely appreciate it. I know my parents did when I folded all the laundry this morning!
