f you’ve been following the news in the USDA world, you probably watched the press conference introducing the new “ChooseMyPlate” icon which will replace “MyPyramid.” Designed to be a quick and simple way to remind us of how to make healthy choices each day, this symbol was introduced on June 2nd by First Lady, Michelle Obama.
For those of you who currently utilize The OrganWise Guys materials, we wanted to answer a few questions about our “MyPyramid” branded material.
Q: Will OWG be a “MyPlate” partner?
A: As soon as the application process is available to MyPyramid partners, the OWG will be applying to become a “MyPlate” partner. Because of our long relationship with the USDA, we don’t anticipate any issues.
Q: When will you have materials available based on the new “MyPlate”?
A: We’ll begin updating our materials right away and plan to have the first round finished by the end of summer 2011.
Q: When will you let us know about the updates?
