The goal is for cafeterias and even families at home to incorporate these important foods into the weekly menus. How many times have you said that lately when you have considered being active outdoors? We know those frigid temperatures are making it quite difficult to even consider getting outside for a little exercise. Even in the cold winter months though it is still important to make sure you and your kiddos are getting in some physical activity. Most of us create resolutions at the beginning of a new year. After all, it’s a great time to make behavior changes and start off the year with healthier habits than you left behind the year before. Many resolutions are unkept because they are too ambitious and cannot be adhered to after the first week. We shared some simple resolutions last week on our blog, and to complement them, we have come up with these small lifestyle changes that will have a big impact in the long run.

November is American Diabetes Awareness Month and The OrganWise Guys are all about teaching healthy behaviors to kids (and adults!) so that they don’t end up developing Type II Diabetes. The four OrganWise club rules of low-fat, high-fiber, lots of water, and exercise are habits that, if practiced regularly, can lower the risk of getting Type II Diabetes and other chronic diseases.
