Back in the Swing of Things

Hola Amigos!

This is our first week of school, and everything is going great! I’m enjoying my classes, lunch is delicious (love the protein-rich grilled chicken!), and my teachers are the best! Then, of course, there’s recess. I love it! Who doesn’t love getting some physical activity while hanging out with friends?! What I really forgot though is how much I love the swings!! Yesterday, I was just swinging for the entire recess; pumping my legs back and forth, feeling the wind against my face— it was incredible! The best part is, I feel like I got an excellent workout in too. My arm and leg muscles were working hard to keep me soaring through the air! I could also feel that I used muscles in my back and stomach area! Who knew exercising could be so fun!

What’s your favorite thing to do at recess? Is it hopscotch, kickball, monkey bars?
