In June, eat lots of berries! These Foods of the Month can be eaten in a variety of ways – in salads, on top of oatmeal, as dessert with a little bit of nonfat Greek yogurt … the possibilities are endless. We loved this fun way to eat berries that involves a kid favorite, jello!
In order to avoid artificial sweeteners, mix plain gelatin with 100% fruit juice according to package instructions. Next, add your favorite berries and let the mixture set in the refrigerator.
We picture endless possibilities of combinations with this fun treat. You can use blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or a combination of all of them. In the picture below we made our gelatin base with 100% apple juice, then added blueberries and raspberries for a tasty combination.
