Well hello everyone,
I had so much fun at the city fireworks show last night! Oops, I’m getting ahead of myself. Yesterday was the Fourth of July, and every year our city has a big festivaland fireworks show in celebration. Part of the festival is a patriotic art contest, and I chose an American flag I made to enter into the contest. It wasn’t just any American flag though, as this flag was made out of fruits and veggies, of course! I had red stripes of apples, white stripes made of cauliflower, and white-corn stars on a blueberry background. I titled it, “America, the Land of the Healthy.” Guess what? I won third place! But that’s not where the excitement ended. During the fireworks show, I couldn’t help but notice that the fireworks were in the shapes of fruits and veggies! Green broccoli, red grapes, orange carrots! Maybe my imaginations was just getting the best of me since I have healthy eating on the brain, but it was still a great way to end the day! Hope you all enjoyed your Independence Day!
Talk to you soon,
Peri Stolic
