Keeping Regular

Well hello there,

I’m sure you’ve heard the good news about our trip. Everyone has been running around, double-checking that they grabbed their toothbrush or socks. Lots of excitement! But one thing has had me a little worried…

You see, we are packing lots of good snacks, including roasted nuts, carrot sticks, apple slices, grapes, oranges, and sliced red bell peppers. While I am looking forward to eating all the delicious food, there are lots of fruits and veggies on that list. As you all know, fruits and veggies help keep you regular (by that I mean, they make sure you are using the bathroom enough). So I had to call Miss Goodhealth and let her know my concern: we are going to need regularly scheduled bathroom breaks. It doesn’t feel good getting all backed up—I know, I’m an intestine! Thankfully, Miss Goodhealth was very understanding and said that we could stop every hour if we needed to! That was a load off my chest! Now, I am joining in all of the excitement. We are packing up the van tonight, and we leave tomorrow morning. Our first stop is Boaz, Alabama! We’ll tell you all about it!  Be sure to get today’s coloring and activity sheets!
