Summer is upon us and Memorial Day is the traditional opening day for many pools around the country. The pool is a symbol of fun-filled summer days for most families but there is a sad reality in the US: Every day there are 9 deaths from drowning and in ethnically-diverse communities, the instances of death from drowning is more than double the national average.
