An important lesson that kids can learn early on in life is that things are not always going to go as they have hoped or planned. There are so many things that come about in which we have no control over, so teaching kids how to be flexible and go with the flow, can be very valuable to them.
One of the things that can attribute to setting one up for disappointment, is having high expectations. While having high expectations can be beneficial in many areas of life, it’s always good to make sure that expectations are realistic. This is just a great discussion to have with kids so that they can learn that making the best out of every situation will ultimately make them happy!
