It’s that exciting time of the year for all college basketball fans … March Madness! This week starts the exciting journey to crown the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Basketball Champions. One of the most anticipated parts of the tournament is filling out your bracket. Everyone is involved in some sort of bracket pool, whether it be with work or your best friends, but we thought it would be fun to challenge you to get your family involved in the tournament fun.
Here are some fun ways that you can make March Madness a family affair:
- Fill out your brackets – Well of course this has to be a part of it! Select a fun prize for the winner, such as selecting the next family dinner spot or movie selection. You can even flip a coin for the younger ones or show them the team mascots and let them pick their favorites!
- Watch the games together – Get in some great bonding time by watching the games together. Plan some healthy snacks or meals for the big games and enjoy! It can be very competitive and exciting!
- Teach some life lessons – Sports is a fantastic way to teach your kids about hard work, determination, good sportsmanship, overcoming adversity, and teamwork!
- Play some basketball – Have your own family HORSE tournament or if you have enough people, try a 3 on 3 tournament. This is a great way to get in some physical activity in between all the games!
