The 2012 Olympic Games are in full swing! The United States is doing great in the overall medal count, right up there with China, Russia, Australia, and Great Britain. While winning medals is great, I hope the athletes take a breath and realize that even if they didn’t get a medal, they still did an incredible thing by simply competing! Think about it, if you are in the Olympics, that means you are one of the best athletes in that sport in your ENTIRE country. That’s crazy! I get excited when I am the one with the highest grade on a math quiz in my class, so I can’t imagine what it means to be one of the best in a nation. Who knows though, maybe one of you reading this could represent the US in the 2020 games! Don’t forget today’s coloring sheet!
