We want to give a big CONGRATS to Ms. Mary Schultheis and her colleauges at Crescent City WIC Services, Inc. in Gretna, LA! Thanks to funding from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Ms. Schultheis and her organization received The OrganWise Guys materials to teach children and families in their community.
In March, they held their first community event featuring all the fun OrganWise Guys materials, called Soul Fest 2014. Families in the community that attended learned about the importance of eating low-fat, high-fiber foods, drinking plenty of water, and getting lots of exercise at the Crescent City WIC Services, Inc. booth. The OWG doll was a big hit, of course, as you can see from the pictures below.
Thanks to the hard work of the Crescent City WIC Services, Inc. staff, this event was a huge success!
