Make your own vinaigrette salad dressings for a healthy dose of good fats (a February Foods of the Month). Follow these step-by-step instructions to get the perfect salad topper. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!
Step 1: Choose a base. Start with 2 tbsp. chopped garlic, shallots or onion. Then add 1 tsp. of your favorite mustard.
Step 2: Add vinegar. Choose your favorite vinegar (white wine, balsamic, red wine, sherry etc.). Add 2 tbsp, salt, pepper, then mix with the other ingredients.
Step 3: Pour in the good fats. Add 6 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil, whisking as you go so the dressing becomes creamy.
