Sauteed Spinach with Garlic

As a May Foods of the Month, spinach packs a powerful nutrition punch and sautéeing is a healthy way to prepare it! The extra-virgin olive oil provides good fat to help us feel full. Try this sautéed spinach dish as a side with your dinner tonight!

Sautéed Spinach with Garlic


1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 tsp. minced garlic
4 cups spinach leaves, washed



  1. In a large skillet, heat extra-virgin olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté until golden in color.
  3. Add spinach and sauté, turning spinach often, until it is wilted and thoroughly mixed with garlic and oil.
  4. Serve with grilled chicken, salmon, or lean cut of beef.
