Hi kids!
We’re sure by now that you’ve heard about the surprise Valentine’s party we are throwing for Hardy, right? Well, if you haven’t, the party is in honor of this month being American Heart Month—and Hardy IS a heart! When we started making plans, we all had to volunteer for jobs. And, no surprise here, we volunteered to be in charge of drinks!! We will be serving delicious, fresh, reduced-sugar pink lemonade and thirst-quenching cranberry juice (we wanted to keep the Valentine’s theme with the pink and red drinks!). But we feel like we are forgetting something. What could it be? We remembered cups, ice, and napkins in case we spill… What ARE we forgetting? Oh, we got it—we’re also serving WATER!!
How could we have forgotten water?! We are kidneys, after all!! You better believe that we’re going to have water in all forms: warm water (for washing our hands), chilled water, ice cubes, crushed ice—even shaved ice! Yes, thirst quenching water any way you want it. Oh man, we’re getting thirsty just thinking about it. So we’re off to drink a tall glass of water while we decorate the paper cups for the party.
