I found a lucky penny! For those of you who don’t know what a lucky penny is, it’s when you find a heads-up penny and it’s supposed to bring you good luck all day. Yesterday at recess, while running around playing tag with my friends, I found one! I started thinking though and remembered that Calci had a championship basketball game and she could really use good luck, so I gave her my lucky penny. Well guess what, she won the game! I’m not saying it was only the lucky penny, but it certainly didn’t hurt. Make sure and download the coloring sheet and activity sheet for today.

Well hello everyone,
I am so tired of the cold winter! Every day, it’s a hassle to put on the gloves and the scarf and the jacket, only to take them off when I get to school, then put it all back on once I go to recess. I just want it to be warm! I was whining, yes whining, to my mom about it and you know what she told me? She said to take all the energy I spend worrying about something I can’t control and turn it into something positive, like studying for school or writing a letter to my grandparents. So that’s exactly what I’ve started to do! There are lots of little things that we get upset about that we can’t change or control, so let’s not waste our time being upset about it, let’s do something great with that time! If you need a suggestion, I recommend exercising, playing with your amigos, or making a healthy recipe. Make sure and download the coloring sheet for today.

Hola amigos,
I know Christmas was almost a month ago, but I can’t stop listening to Christmas music! My parents are so tired of hearing “Let It Snow” and “Winter Wonderland” that they said I have to stop playing Christmas music. This is probably for the best, as I think what really makes Christmas music so special is that we only listen to it one month a year. If we were blasting it on the radio all year long, I wouldn’t cherish it quite as much as I do! I guess I need to find some alternative selections until next holiday season. Hola amigos!
Today is Thanksgiving! I hope all of you are getting to spend the day with loved ones and I hope that you are taking notes on all the things you have to be thankful for in your life, including your health, shelter, food, school, friends, and family. Just be thankful that we get another day to enjoy being OrganWise! I’m getting ready to eat my Thanksgiving feast so I can get fueled up for a fun family game of flag football later! Hola amigos!
I don’t know about all of you, but I am ready for some cool, crisp fall weather. The fall equinox was Monday, but it’s still feeling a bit too much like el verano (Spanish for “summer”) for me. I am ready to pull out my scarf and light jacket and jump into a pile of leaves! Hopefully, this last bit of warm weather will say “adios” and we can make the switch to fall soon!
