Citrus is a December Foods of the Month! In honor of all things citrus, we are featuring an incredibly easy way to use these fruits when cooking your next meal. Did you know that you can dry lemons like you would with other fruits (like apples, bananas etc.)? It’s so easy too. All you need to do is thinly slice a lemon into rounds, then bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 5 hours until they are completely dried out. (more…)

Sweet potatoes are a November Foods of the Month! These veggies have one of the highest amounts of beta-carotene, which is where they get their pretty orange color. Instead of regular french fries, have baked sweet potato fries! Not only are these “fries” truly tasty, they also have high amounts of vitamin A, an antioxidant that boosts our immune system.
