Acreage Pines Elementary School in Palm Beach County, FL is kicking off The OrganWise Guys program this fall thanks to generous funding from the Good Samaritan Medical Center! This unique school is the first elementary biomedical academy in the state of Florida. OWG materials will be used by teachers and students to enhance the current core curriculum while also putting a special emphasis on learning about our body’s organs and how we can take care of them through good nutrition and healthy eating.

September is not only National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, it also happens to be National Fruit and Vegetable month. It makes sense as these two tend to go hand and hand … the more fruits and veggies you eat, the healthier you will be! That being said, sometimes it’s challenging to get those kiddos to eat the rainbow of fruits and veggies that is available to them.

With September being National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to showcase a long time partner organization, The Oliver Foundation, a Houston-based 501(c)(3) non-profit operating foundation dedicated to the prevention of childhood obesity. In fact, they were integral players in the creation and development of our OWG Shorts!
