Christmas is just a few short days away, and I am almost done making all my gifts! This year, I was inspired after the letter-writing we did in school, so I decided to write letters to all my family members. It may not seem like much, but I just wanted all of my family members to know how much they mean to me, so I put it in writing. I am decorating each envelope with a picture of a special memory that I share with that person. If you don’t have anything for your family or friends yet, you can try this! Just be sure to write from the heart, and I’m sure they will love it! Don’t forget to download your coloring sheet for today!

Hola amigos!
Last night I went to the girl’s varsity volleyball match at the high school. I was so impressed by them all! I had never been to a volleyball match before, and it was so fun to watch diving, spiking, and jumping around! I even saw one girl serve three aces in a row! An ace is when you serve the ball in bounds, but no one can get to it. Best of all, the girls were so supportive of their teammates, always telling one another when they made a good shot, and cheering them on even when they didn’t. It made me want to play when I get to high school. So look out future volleyball players, Madame Muscle is coming for you! Make sure and download your coloring sheet and activity sheet for today!

Hola amigos!
We have finally made our way to the west coast! Yesterday, we arrived in sunny Los Angeles, California. We all wanted to walk around and see the sights, which is a great way to get in some physical activity without even noticing! Since this is where movies are made, I wanted to stroll down the Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame is where celebrities get their names engraved on stars on the sidewalk. We saw some of our favorite TV stars, movie actors, and musicians. I can only hope one day that we get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
While we were walking, we also got to see the HOLLYWOOD sign, celebrity handprints in the wall, and even someone dressed like a superhero! We are going to walk around Hollywood a bit more today before hitting the beach later in la semana (“la semana” is Spanish for “the week”). Hola Amigos!
Just finished up at stop numero dos (number two). We were in Memphis, Tennessee! It was truly a spectacular day! We had some delicious BBQ (on a whole wheat bun of course) with a side of carrot sticks for lunch. It was delicious. My favorite part of this stop was visiting Graceland, the home of Mr. Elvis Presley. We got to learn all about the impact Elvis had on music history. Seeing where the music legend lived made me feel a bit musical myself. Once we got back to the hotel, I put on a show for the others, belting out some of our favorite OrganWise Guys tunes, as well as a slightly reworked Elvis classic—“Blue Tennis Shoes!” Then we enjoyed some time swimming at the hotel pool—love that physical activity! Hola amigos!
Since this is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, I thought it would be a great time to practicar (“to practice” in Spanish) my tennis skills. This year I set a goal to work really hard at certain sports-related skills that I tend to have trouble with, and my tennis serve is one of them.
